Tigerprint:Structured backgrounds with floral overlay...

 

As the linear structure of the architectural design on top of a pastel coloured background works so well, I decided to explore this idea but this time round using my flower drawings. To begin with, I used a floral element off the internet to experiment with on different checker backgrounds that I created using thick pastel card. Because some of these experiments worked well, I decided to try out some more but this time using my flower drawings and onto different structured backgrounds. Below are some of my designs, some have been put into repeat, creating lovely patterns that would be suitable to become gift bags, tags, wrapping paper etc.
