Firstly, I
began looking into the checks and stripes elements but focusing more towards
architectural influences. To do this, I gathered together some interesting
images and photographs of architectural buildings and spaces that had the
themes of checks or stripes running through them. Architecture has always
influenced fashion, even if it is just through linear creations. I did some
small scale drawings from the images and photographs gathered that I will then
use later on in the project to connect together with the floral elements I will
now go and explore.
